With 6 to 24 months of maturation, more than 40 companies supported over 15 years, and an 85% survival rate after 5 years, the TEAM@Mines Saint-Étienne programme offers structured and closely monitored technology transfer conditions, in collaboration with high-level experts and a network of innovation partners across its campuses.

Expertise, value creation, partnership, the TEAM programme—Technology, Entrepreneurship, Support, Maturation—at Mines Saint-Étienne now hosts 22 projects and startups (including three spin-offs).
Several contracts and partnership projects are currently underway.

TEAM@Mines Saint-Étienne develops ambitious tools to support the entrepreneurial and innovation initiatives of the companies it supports, such as Poc & Go.

TEAM will be alongside IMT “which is taking 21 startups from its schools’ incubators to CES 2019; three of them supported by TEAM@Mines Saint-Étienne will travel to Las Vegas next January:

  • Mouv’in smart, design, development and operation of monitoring systems for the physical activity of the horse and rider,
  • OptiWaves , production of dental prostheses through microwave sintering of ceramics,
  • and PrediSurge, design of software for a process to simulate and prepare surgical procedures.

The business areas of our startups are built on Mines Saint-Étienne’s fields of expertise: microelectronics, optimisation and logistics, security, bioelectronics, materials and processes, digital technologies, environment, health…

In particular, thanks to its Centre for Biomedical and Healthcare Engineering located on the Health Innovations Campus, the School aims to support projects and co-creations in the healthcare field, such as Systole, AHF, Stansea, as well as Life Medical Control, hosted within TEAM@Mines Saint-Étienne on the Health Innovations Campus.

Testimonial from Life Medical Control: stroke screening is becoming a reality.

“We are continuing our rollout operation with pharmacies in the region. Indeed, one year after the start of the pilot operation with URPS Pharmacien, Jean Monnet University, and CETAF of Loire and Rhône, we have equipped more than 70 pharmacies. This growing network enables pharmacists to raise their customers’ awareness of stroke risks and even to offer them the NeuroCoach test free of charge to assess their level of stroke risk.”

Field results
“After one year of experimentation, the feedback has been very positive. Field satisfaction with our screening solution is there, and the number of people screened for a risk factor is higher than we had anticipated. These encouraging results are driving us—together with our partners—to go even further in this fight against stroke.”
