The support program for students facing food insecurity will be accessible again starting Monday, October 2, 2023.
In a context marked by high inflation, some students at Mines Saint-Étienne, across all programs, are experiencing difficulties meeting their essential daily needs.
To help them and enable them to pursue their studies under dignified conditions, the solidarity grocery store at the Saint-Étienne campus – Off Course(s) – will once again hold office hours every Monday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in room E1-02. These sessions will be staffed by two volunteers (one staff member and one student).
Each student in need will be able to collect five products of their choice (food items or hygiene products) free of charge per week.
Transactions are conducted anonymously, without appointments or prior questionnaires.
As a reminder, the solidarity grocery store was officially launched on March 6, 2023. Its main objectives are to reduce student poverty, support students in difficulty, and create social connections.
