The association, whose mission is to organize awareness and transformation programs for economic decision-makers, held its 3rd session at Mines Saint-Étienne’s premises, Fauriel campus, on March 7 and 8, 2024.

For two days, entrepreneurs, elected officials, and staff members benefited from Mines Saint-Étienne’s facilities to attend conferences, discover the geology collections, and participate in round tables on the theme of ecological redirection and new business models to be imagined in light of planetary boundaries.

The event involved research professors from Mines Saint-Étienne (David Piot and Bernard Guy) as well as students for the decorative aspect of the institution.

Mines Saint-Étienne has been a member of the association since November 2023. The duo composed of Christophe Desrayaud, Director of the SMS Center, and Sébastien Saunier, research professor, is responsible for monitoring this participation, initiated by the delegation in charge of sustainable development. Its objective is to produce a roadmap, to be submitted to the management at the end of June 2024, which will propose avenues for reflection to adopt more responsible practices in the coming years.

Hosting this convention within our walls was natural for Mines Saint-Étienne, as it regularly supports companies in their transition, ensuring compliance with the virtuous commitments outlined in its 2023-2027 strategic plan.
