The RAMP-UP Seed project is one of the 9 new projects selected by the Franco-German Academy (AFA) in response to the call “Resilience and Sustainability for the Industry of the Futures”.
The health crisis has highlighted the limitations of current industrial models in rapidly responding to market demand in terms of quality and quantity.
Ramp-up management is one of the keys to meeting this challenge.
This is a collaborative project involving the Technical University of Munich (TUM) (Institute of Automation and Information Systems) and Mines Saint-Etienne. It focuses on the problem of adapting companies’ production capacities to crisis situations. To do this, it relies on 2 main areas of expertise: Ramp-up management and Artificial Intelligence. The development of this dynamic will also benefit the IT’m Factory and Territoire platforms of the Henri Fayol Institute.
