Mines Saint-Étienne welcomed members of the Mines-Télécom Foundation to the Saint-Étienne and Charbonnières-les-Bains sites. The Foundation had the opportunity to visit the School, the research centers, and the DIWII technological platform, as well as to present its missions and operations.
Over two days, the Mines-Télécom Foundation visited Mines Saint-Étienne, including the Saint-Étienne campus with its various research centers, and the DIWII platform, located at the Campus Région du Numérique in Lyon.
Since 2019, the Mines-Télécom Foundation has taken over from FI3M to manage the philanthropy projects of Mines Saint-Étienne as the Fondation de l’Institut Mines-Télécom. Recognized as a non-profit of public interest since 2012, its mission is to provide the eight IMT schools with the resources to achieve excellence in Academics, Research, Innovation, and Foresight through sponsorship partnerships. Supporting research and innovation is at the heart of its projects.
School staff attended and participated in a special discussion session with the Foundation team, which took place at DIWII on Thursday, April 20. The team reviewed its missions and operations, specifically presenting the mechanism of corporate sponsorship chairs—a strategic tool for developing, promoting, and highlighting cutting-edge research areas through collaborative reflection between industry and academia.
