This Saturday, February 10, 19 PhDs and 113 Ingénieurs Civils des Mines received their diplomas from Jacques Fayolle, Director of Mines Saint-Étienne.
In successive waves, the graduates in uniform took to the stage to capture the moment alongside the class patron, Laurent Borne, a 1994 graduate of Mines Saint-Étienne. Now based in Dallas, USA, he serves as Chief Experience Officer for Brink’s.

Congratulations! Today, your hard work is being rewarded. Your voice as an engineer now carries weight. It must be authoritative in the scientific world. We need your strength and motivation to meet the major challenges ahead. Take care of yourselves, get involved, and use your success to take action and make an impact.
Jacques Fayolle, Director of Mines Saint-Étienne
Several speeches and videos punctuated the nearly three-hour ceremony.
A cocktail reception concluded this emotionally charged afternoon, followed by a gala dinner and evening featuring dance performances, musical acts, and sketches presented by students and staff.

We look forward to seeing you next year to celebrate a new graduating class.
