The Aix-Marseille-Provence Campus hosted the traditional graduation ceremony for ISMIN program students on Saturday, November 30. It was a milestone moment for these aspiring engineers and their families.

In uniform, moved and proud, the young engineers received the diploma marking their three years of study at the institution from Jacques Fayolle, director of Mines Saint-Étienne.

Punctuated by insightful presentations and inspiring videos, the ceremony was an opportunity to highlight the strengths of the program, the numerous skills in microelectronics and computer science acquired within this framework, and the rich student life on campus.

Cédric Demeure, Director of Thales’ Corporate Research Center for France and patron of the graduating class, emphasized the importance of a judicious use of this knowledge in his speech: “You now hold formidable technologies in your hands, at a level never before reached by humanity: digital technology, renewable energies, innovative materials, connected systems… Not to mention disruptive technologies poised to transform our world, such as quantum computing or artificial intelligence. But these are merely tools. What gives them meaning, what confers true value upon them, is how you use them. Use these technologies to include, not exclude, to reduce disparities between regions and between generations.

After the ceremony in the Sainte-Victoire hall, all guests were invited to share a convivial moment over cocktails.

To extend the day in a festive atmosphere, the students and their families then attended a musical performance organized by the Gala association.

Congratulations and best wishes to all graduates!
