European Researchers’ Night took place simultaneously in more than 350 cities across Europe, including 13 in France! This first Saint-Étienne edition was a real success!

The event labelled French Tech Design kicked off the 20th anniversary season of La Rotonde!
Thanks to the diversity of topics, this event showcased, in an original way, the work and innovative projects of researchers from higher education institutions in the region.
Interrogation sessions, identikit portraits, a major national participatory experiment, a live radio broadcast, a show, fascinating staging… the evening, themed around mystery and investigation, took place at the Grande Usine Créative (Quartier de la Manufacture de Saint-Étienne).

A few figures: 800 visitors for the evening, 150 school pupils for the afternoon, 100 visitors for the pre-event “Impro’Sciences”, 10 experiments to try, 1 murder party, 1 open stage, 2 student projects, 3 startups… This first Saint-Étienne edition was a real success and a wonderful evening of science outreach!

Organised and funded by: Saint-Étienne Métropole, La Rotonde Mines Saint-Étienne, Mines Saint-Étienne, Université Jean Monnet, Ministry of Culture, European Commission – H2020.
