The second day dedicated to “Metallurgical Innovations for the Defense Industry” organized by the Cercle d’Études des Métaux will take place on March 28, 2019, at the École Militaire in Paris. It will address the strategically sensitive nature of the supply of certain metals and the work being done to ease this constraint, notably through the design of new alloys.
Technical presentations will cover topics at the cutting edge of metallurgical innovation such as additive manufacturing, high-performance alloys, materials of the future, and the contribution of artificial intelligence to their design.
Focused on strategic metals and alloys, this day will serve as a meeting point for producers of high-performance metal alloys, defense industry players, research organizations, technical centers, as well as public and private institutions related to this field.
The day organized by the CEM, IHEDN, DGA, ERAMET (one of the world’s leading mining and metallurgical groups), A3M (Alliance of Ores, Minerals and Metals), and COMES (Committee for Strategic Metals) will also highlight the synergies to be developed between metallurgy, the defense industry, and the world of innovation and research.
It will be held in the Foch amphitheater of the École Militaire in Paris.
