The Loire region’s opening evening for the 33rd edition of the Science Festival will take place at the Saint-Étienne Mining Museum on Friday, October 4, during Researchers’ Night.
La Rotonde has once again pulled out all the stops to offer a 2024 Science Festival edition that is original, engaging, and participatory.
It will be organized around the theme: “Oceans of Knowledge.”
The kickoff for this nationwide event will be on Friday, October 4, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at the Puits Couriot site in Saint-Étienne. The programme includes: urban walks, intimate encounters, workshops, speed-searching sessions, exhibitions, and pop culture…
20 cities and 100 organizations mobilized
Following this launch and continuing until October 14, the Science Festival will be in full swing throughout the Loire department. It will feature numerous activities for both children and adults.
Ecology, biology, astrology, energy, history, health, science, art and technology, robotics, digital technology… From north to south across the region, 20 cities and nearly 100 organizations will offer the public opportunities to discover science in countless ways.
65 researchers and 10 educational and research institutions will also be mobilized to discuss their work, introduce sometimes unfamiliar fields, and perhaps inspire future vocations.
Our 4 favorites:
- Researchers’ Night and its opening evening (October 4)
- The Roanne Science Village (October 9)
- An evening at the Saint-Étienne University Hospital (October 8)
- A workshop presented by 17 libraries in the metropolitan area
Please note that all Science Festival activities are free.
Most are adapted and accessible to people with disabilities.
