Several of our students participated in the traditional commemorations of May 8, 1945, organized by the city of Saint-Étienne.

A duty of remembrance.

As every year, students from Mines Saint-Étienne paid tribute to the soldiers, civilians, and students of the School who died for France during the national commemoration of May 8, 1945, which marks the end of the Second World War in Europe and the surrender of Nazi Germany.

Dressed in the emblematic uniform of Mines Saint-Étienne, they gathered in the city center, on Place Fourneyron, in front of the war memorial, where numerous wreaths had been laid.

A powerful and emotional moment to remember.
