Administrative and Financial Manager at the Research Directorate, she discovered a true passion for Reiki. This Japanese healing practice, involving the laying on of hands, helps to relieve the body and mind.
She captures the energy around her and redistributes it to bring well-being or relieve trauma.
Valérie Ranc came to Reiki somewhat by chance: “While I was going through a difficult personal period, a friend introduced me to a Reiki master. I met her out of curiosity, without preconceptions, hoping she could help me feel better. It was a revelation! The session did me a lot of good, and I decided to train to learn more about this gentle healing practice that I was unfamiliar with. ”
After several initiations combining theory and practice with Odile Vial, a Reiki master based in Saint-Chamond, Valérie reached level 3 out of 4. She is now able to practice her art with solid knowledge.
“Tingling Hands”
“I place my hands on the part of the body to be relieved or I hold them above it to allow the energy to go where it needs to go. When the treatment begins, my hands tingle, and I can sometimes sense what is dysfunctional. In reality, energy is there, it surrounds us. It’s like oxygen. We don’t see it, but it’s essential ,” she explains.
Headaches, muscle or rheumatic pains, strains, sprains, or wasp stings, Valérie has already intervened successfully on several occasions with her family and friends. She offers her services free of charge to those who wish: ” I don’t cure, but I bring relief or a sense of well-being. I try to practice with the utmost kindness and respect for the person .”
And this former tour guide, who worked at the Maison de la Culture and the Saint-Étienne town hall before arriving at Mines Saint-Étienne in 2007, concludes: “Thanks to Reiki, I’ve learned to know what is good for me and what isn’t. I’ve also learned to gain perspective on the events that punctuate my life. I advise everyone to try it. There’s nothing to lose, only to gain !”

15 minutes
This is the time dedicated to a treatment for a minor trauma. However, at least 1 hour should be planned for a full session (whole body).
