Nearly 160 international participants, including industry professionals, scientists, and academics, were welcomed at the Workshop “on Practical Hardware Innovations in Security Implementation and Characterization”. These days dedicated to hardware security took place on the G. Charpak Provence Campus on October 15 and 16.

With exactly 157 participants, including 111 industry professionals and 46 academics, government representatives, and research associations/competitiveness clusters, and 15 international partners from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Politecnico di Torino, Technical University of Prague, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands, this 8th edition brought together experts, researchers, and industry professionals around common collaboration topics on hardware security, post-quantum cryptography, and secure microarchitecture…

The technical programme of this workshop included 21 presentations, an opening keynote on post-quantum cryptography, 12 posters, and an exhibition hall that hosted a 2-spot laser fault injection bench (the model currently being acquired by the Micro-PackS association) for demonstration purposes.

“The feedback was very positive and the technical programme highly appreciated.”

The colloquium was followed by a training session “Theory and practice of fault attacks” on October 17 and 18.
