Since 2017, two beehives have been installed on the roofs of the Mines Saint-Étienne buildings as part of a partnership between the School and the association “Le Rucher Partagé des Carrières.” The objective of this partnership is the preservation of bees.
At the end of August, the 2021 harvest took place. Christophe Bruyas and Thomas Renaudier—from the School’s General Services and specially trained—carried out the removal of the honey-filled “supers.”
In total, about fifty 250 g jars were extracted. After labeling, they were sold to the School’s staff. All proceeds were donated to the partner association.
