Rémi Bernhard, a PhD student in the joint research team between CEA and Mines Saint-Étienne (Centre of Microelectronics in Provence), received this international distinction at the CyberWorlds 2019 conference for his work in the field of neural network security.

The CyberWorlds 2019 conference took place in Tokyo from October 2 to 4, and the “Best Paper Award” was given to the publication “Impact of Low-Bitwidth Quantization on the Adversarial Robustness for Embedded Neural Networks”.

“We are very proud of this distinction, which demonstrates the quality of the work accomplished,” particularly with Pierre-Alain Moellic, CEA Tech and Jean-Max Dutertre, Secure Systems and Architectures Department, co-authors of the article.

This work is being conducted in the field of embedded neural network security within the CEA Tech / Mines Saint-Étienne joint research team at the G. Charpak Provence campus.
