On Thursday, October 7, Mines Saint-Etienne welcomed Olivier Huart, Chairman of the IMT Board of Directors, Odile Gauthier, Executive Director of IMT, and Dominique Poiroux, Chairman of the Mines Saint-Etienne School Board. Led by Pascal Ray, Director of the School, they toured the campus and its research centers.
The morning was spent at the Campus Région du Numérique in Lyon/Charbonnières-les-Bains. Accompanied by Eric Duflot, Director of Partnerships and Innovation, Frédéric Grimaud, Industry of the Future Lead, and Bruno Chavagneux, Operational Director of the DIWII platform, the IMT management team and the Chairman of the School Board visited the Surfab platform, which is linked to the Manutech Economic Interest Group. The visit continued with the DIWII technology platform, co-managed by the School.
In the afternoon, the IMT management team and the Chairman of the School Board toured the Saint-Etienne campus. Accompanied by the directors of the School’s research centers, they visited La Rotonde (Center for Scientific, Technical, and Industrial Culture), the Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering (SMS) center, and the Centre for Chemical Engineering (SPIN).
Overall, the visit was well-received by staff and facilitated numerous discussions between the School, the IMT management team, and the Chairman of the School Board.
