This international seminar dedicated to research on digital security took place at the Aix-Marseille-Provence Campus on April 9 and 10, 2024. It brought together 150 specialists.

Researchers, academics, and industry professionals gathered at the Centre of Microelectronics in Provence (CMP) for two days to discuss hardware attacks and their countermeasures, software implementations, intrinsic hardware security, secure evaluation platforms, and formal analysis with automated tools.

These timely topics sparked fascinating and instructive exchanges among participants. They provided an opportunity to work on innovative solutions to make connected systems more robust against the increasing number of side-channel attacks.

Did You Know?

Side-channel attacks involve retrieving information such as power consumption, response time, or electromagnetic emissions generated by computers or connected devices during operation. This information can be exploited by malicious actors to create vulnerabilities and steal data discreetly.

Since its creation in 2010, COSADE has provided a forum for specialists from around the world. Dr. Gaëtan Cassiers, researcher at the Catholic University of Louvain, and Prof. Yuichi Hayashi from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (Japan) attended this year.
