Mines Saint-Étienne’s application to become a member of the T.I.M.E. Association network has been accepted. The network’s general assembly, meeting in October, validated this choice with the support of international partners.

International influence for the School

Meeting in early October for their general assembly, the members of the T.I.M.E. Association (Top International Managers for Engineering) network decided to welcome Mines Saint-Étienne. The School is the first within Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) to join. Only 8 schools in France are members. In total, about fifty universities and scientific schools worldwide are part of this network.

The School joined this network following a proposal by our partner, Technische Universität Wien (Austria). Recommendations from our international partners—Politecnico di Torino (Italy), AGH UST (Poland), and Polytechnique Montréal (Canada)—also supported the School’s candidacy, along with backing from alumni and businesses. These entities highlighted the relevance of Mines Saint-Étienne’s education and research model. The extensive work carried out by the International Development Department should also be noted.

Mines Saint-Étienne is a resolutely international School. It already has partnerships with more than 140 institutions worldwide. In 2021, its Erasmus Charter was renewed with a score of 100/100. Through this charter, the School commits to enhancing the employability of young graduates while upholding values such as equality and democracy.

What is the T.I.M.E Association?

Created in 1989 on the initiative of Centrale Paris, the T.I.M.E Association (Top International Managers for Engineering) is an international network of leading scientific universities and engineering schools. Its members have developed a strong international influence in research, teaching, and corporate relations. They are all drivers of international cooperation, student exchanges, and the recognition of studies completed by their students at T.I.M.E Association partners worldwide.
The primary missions of T.I.M.E are to facilitate student exchanges between network members for double degrees in engineering and to facilitate consortium work on themes common to several members.
