Mines Saint-Étienne, through its Healthcare Engineering Center (CIS) and supported by the Henri Fayol Institute and the Centre of Microelectronics in Provence (CMP), has been selected to lead CASE 2021. A flagship conference of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, this event is being held for the first time in France, in Lyon, from August 23 to 27, 2021. The theme of this 17th edition is Data-driven Automation.
Bringing together nearly 500 French and international participants each year—researchers, academics, students, doctoral candidates, experts, and industry professionals—the CASE 2021 conference is the leading international forum for cross-sector and multidisciplinary research in automation.

Mines Saint-Étienne, through the activities of its scientific teams at the UMR CNRS 6158 LIMOS (Healthcare Engineering, Mathematics and Operations Research for Engineering, Manufacturing Sciences and Logistics departments), is fully integrated into the fields of this conference: modeling, production systems optimization, decision support for future healthcare, advanced process control, etc.
This event aims to provide broad coverage and dissemination of fundamental research in this field to researchers, academics, industry professionals, practitioners, and experts. It also promotes technology transfer and addresses numerous areas of innovation that respond to the sectors and challenges of our society.
