Our institution ranks 10th in the 2024 ranking of French engineering schools according to L’Étudiant’s editorial team. It has moved up one place compared with last year.
Mines Saint-Étienne enters the top 10 of this leading annual ranking for the first time, with a total of 92 points out of a possible 123.
This excellent result confirms the high standard and quality of all the programmes delivered by our academic staff, our unwavering commitment to the ecological transition, our growing international reach, our ever-stronger integration into the local economic fabric, and finally our clear determination to work every day for inclusivity, with 31% of students receiving needs-based grants.

Public or private schools, post-baccalaureate or post-preparatory classes: all the ranked engineering programmes lead to a master’s degree and are accredited to award the engineering title by the CTI (Commission des titres d’ingénieur).
