For the 5th consecutive year, Le Monde is awarding its “Le Monde Cities” Urban Innovation Awards.
61 projects were submitted to the jury by a selection committee made up of personalities from around the world and experts in urban transformation: elected officials, researchers, business or foundation leaders, architects, urban planners, etc.
The fortunate winner is the start-up IMOPE by URBS, a spin-off from the school founded by Maximilien Brossard and Jonathan Villot, both alumni of Mines Saint-Étienne.
The newspaper Le Monde highlights the origins of the project at the school and the synergies with the research center and the Saint-Étienne and Loire area, as part of an entrepreneurial and scientific approach.
This start-up has been in the news, as it also received two “coup de cœur” awards presented by CEREMA and IGN, as part of the RenovAction Hackathon led by the Ministry for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition; a double win praised by the Secretary of State, Ms Emmanuelle Wargon, at the awards ceremony: https://youtu.be/n_mLT2q_hBQ
