Our School is among the first 25 higher education institutions announced by Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, at the Campus France meetings: the “Bienvenue en France” label attests to the quality of the welcome provided to international students and to the School’s attractiveness.

On the occasion of the Campus France Research and Innovation Meetings at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, announced on 8 July the list of the first 25 higher education institutions to receive the “Bienvenue en France” label.
École des Mines de Saint-Étienne is one of them!

The “Bienvenue en France” label, awarded for 4 years, helps guarantee and showcase a national standard for welcome and support; it is a tool for attractiveness and outreach towards student audiences, researchers and international partners.

This label recognises the quality of the welcome provided to international students and the attractiveness of French higher education. It is awarded by Campus France, based on a self-assessment closely aligned with the concerns of international students, and on an evidence file submitted by the institution.”

The criteria selected to award a label to an approach for welcoming international students are as follows:

  1. The quality and accessibility of information,
  2. Welcome arrangements,
  3. The training offer,
  4. Accommodation,
  5. Campus life
  6. The quality of post-graduation follow-up

Criteria that our School fully meets: staff and students, alumni, international students, partners and all those who, every day, carry out strong collective work and contribute to a high level of intercultural skills.

After obtaining last year the CeQuInt(*) Label for the ICM programme, this new distinction attests to the quality of the School’s internationalisation, and it is excellent news: it also reflects the quality of sustained collective work and everyone’s commitment. Congratulations to all!

(*) In November 2018, the School received the “Certificate for Quality in Internationalisation” label for the Ingénieur Civil des Mines programme. It attests to the quality of the School’s project in preparing its students for a career in an international and multicultural context and demonstrates the relevance of our programmes. Two exemplary strengths were mentioned as best practices: the learning environment and the services offered to students.
