Published by the British monthly publication that is an authority in the academic world, the annual IMPACT ranking classifies global higher education institutions according to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Times Higher Education has just ranked Mines Saint-Étienne in the top 100 for three key objectives:

  • 55th in the world and No. 1 in France for SDG 13 – Climate Action
  • 63rd in the world for SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
  • 79th in the world for SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy

Mines Saint-Étienne has thus climbed into the top 300 of the IMPACT 2023 overall ranking (ranked 201-300), with a score of 77.2/100. This is a remarkable development, as in 2022, the institution was ranked 401-600 with a score of 71.9/100. In addition to its strong position in the overall ranking, Mines Saint-Étienne also stands out in the Top 200 for two other SDGs: 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth and 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities.
