The School recently launched a Learning Center application available for download on Google Play and the App Store. The goal is to support students in their studies and staff in their teaching and research activities.

An evolution of library services
Library services at Mines Saint-Étienne are evolving in connection with prototyping spaces (FabLabs). To facilitate use and empower users, the School is launching a Learning Center application. This tool was created by IMT Atlantique and an external service provider and is used by the latter. Mines Saint-Étienne has therefore adapted the application’s code to suit its own requirements.
This application is the result of extensive consideration by the teaching and documentation teams. The challenge was how to inform users in real time and facilitate access to library and prototyping space services. The chosen solution is this Learning Center application. It offers various services:
- Book or schedule a reservation for a specific room
- Borrow books or educational materials
- Check opening hours and reception details for each campus
- Follow the latest news and the events calendar
- Request an appointment with a librarian
Already over a hundred downloads
With over a hundred downloads already, the application is becoming part of daily use. Both staff and students of the School can use it. To take full advantage of the application’s services, they must log in using their standard credentials.
