They receive the same support as startups to mature and develop their innovative projects under optimal conditions.

They are young. They are eager to learn and undertake entrepreneurial ventures.

Clément Petitjean, Alexandre Chalin, and Kaïs Bourdache hold the special status of student-entrepreneur. Integrated into the microelectronic and computer systems engineering program (ISMIN) at the Aix-Marseille-Provence Campus, they are developing an entrepreneurial project with Pépite Provence alongside their studies.

Since the start of the academic year, Clément, Alexandre, and Kaïs have been benefiting from the personalized support of TEAM, the Mines Saint-Étienne incubator. As such, they are placed on the same footing as startups. They notably have access, by reservation, to a shared office at Château Laurin to work in a stimulating environment within an ecosystem conducive to their personal and professional development.

By leveraging the resources, partnerships, and networks of Mines Saint-Étienne, these student-entrepreneurs are well-equipped to realize their entrepreneurial project and obtain their D2E diploma.

Congratulations to all for these inspiring journeys.

They share their experiences:

Clément Petitjean – Planar Systems

The project aims to accelerate disc jockeys’ transition towards a mobile music practice.

Which skills acquired during your program helped you the most in your project?

Without a doubt, the 2A industrial project, which has now become a school project, as well as the financial strategy courses. Production management and general management provided me with foundational knowledge, but I didn’t truly gain useful skills for my project from them. Ultimately, what helped me the most were the concrete experiences gained through projects and internships. .”

Alexandre Chalin – Blue Smart Robotics

The project aims to develop robotic solutions that simplify the entire usage cycle of aeronautical vehicles, particularly gliders.

What advice would you give to your fellow students who are hesitant to embark on an entrepreneurial venture during their studies?

At Mines Saint-Étienne, we benefit from a privileged environment to embark on an entrepreneurial venture. Furthermore, the IMT ecosystem offers numerous opportunities. The entrepreneurial approach demands rigor and method, which precisely corresponds to what the ISMIN program provides us. In other words, you have everything you need to get started: all that’s missing is a good idea. !”

Kaïs Bourdache – Heimdall Sense

The project aims to develop a connected “wearable” solution to predict autistic crises.

How do you reconcile your engineering education at Mines Saint-Étienne with your entrepreneurial venture?

Firstly, it is certain that the workload is considerable, and one must endure the pace and stress. However, my entrepreneurial approach allows me to find a more concrete application and interest in each course by applying them to my project. I no longer truly separate my courses and my project. I attend classes to develop skills that will be useful to me. In this way, I gain a much better understanding of my studies at the School, and they take on a whole new dimension.
