From January 13 to 16, 2026, the Fayol Institute at Mines Saint-Étienne hosted faculty researchers and a group of their students from South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, as part of the Erasmus+ programme, and partially within the activities of the CPTDI Advance Master.

The week was marked by academic exchanges and educational activities focused on service transformation, agile transformation, and project management. Serious games, presentations, and collaborative work were conducted jointly by the German partners, Thomas Süße, Bernd-Friedrich Voigt, and Klemens Bleyer, and the faculty researchers from Mines Saint-Étienne, with active contribution from Khaled Medini in coordinating and facilitating the exchanges.

This mobility demonstrates Mines Saint-Étienne’s commitment to active pedagogies, internationalization of education programmes, and strengthening European cooperation. It also benefited from the support of the International Development Office at Mines Saint-Étienne, whose assistance contributed to the successful execution of these exchanges.

Finally, special thanks to Magali Rousset and Lauriane Bruchet for their contribution to the logistical organization of this event.

AfricaCrypt is an annual international conference dedicated to the theory and applications of cryptology. This major scientific event aims to promote and advance cryptology on the African continent. The conference has consistently attracted excellent contributions and has welcomed numerous renowned researchers who have presented keynote lectures. It is organized in collaboration with the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR).

On the occasion of the 17th edition of the international conference AfricaCrypt in Tunisia, Nadia El-Mrabet, faculty researcher in cryptography at CMP, is co-organizing a summer school on post-quantum cryptography. Post-quantum cryptography is a branch of cryptography aimed at ensuring information security against an attacker equipped with a quantum computer.

This summer school will introduce participants to the foundations and current directions of post-quantum cryptography, a rapidly expanding field that prepares cryptography for the quantum era. The sessions will be led by prestigious international faculty researchers including Peter Schwabe from the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy in Germany and Benjamin Wesolowski from ENS Lyon.

As Program Chair, Nadia El-Mrabet will chair the programme of this prestigious summer school. More information here: https://www.africacrypt2026.tn/summer-school/
