Until December 14, 2024, children aged 3 to 6 can participate in workshops to build cabins in the iconic Soucoupe at Mines Saint-Étienne.

The “Cabanes” exhibition invites young children to embark on a creative and playful adventure in the heart of a magical world. Upon arrival at the site, little explorers are immersed in a universe of colorful cabins, built to their scale, where imagination and play are paramount.

Guided by a story, they follow the adventures of two heroes, Mira and Yuba, who lead them to discover cabins from around the world. Each structure holds its own surprises and becomes, in turn, a refuge, a hiding place, a shared play area, or a shelter for dreaming.

The center of this immersive experience is the “Espace défi-cabanes” from the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris. This interactive workshop invites children and adults alike to start building their own cabin. Whether through cooperation or solo creativity, every child is free to handle, assemble, and build with the materials provided. It is a wonderful opportunity to develop a sense of mutual aid and let their imagination run wild.

With “Cabanes,” every construction is a small masterpiece of creativity.
