On November 23 and 24 in Paris, Consult’in France organised a hackathon dedicated to artificial intelligence and its applications (environment, health, security, transport). This 2nd edition welcomed more than 80 participants from 30 different schools, including 10 ICM engineering students: 7 of them were part of 3 of the 4 winning teams across 4 award-winning projects.
The hackathon organised by Consult’in France, Concepteurs d’avenirs and Schoolab welcomed 11 teams, coached for nearly 36 hours by consultants from member firms of Consult’in France. “The students’ objective was to identify opportunities to apply AI in these sectors and propose solutions to seize them, highlighting their value proposition and impact.”
The jury, made up of professionals, awarded 4 projects (see the full results here):
The ESSCAI team – UrgencIA project (Health theme), including two ICM students: Julien Faivre and Josué Bulot
“This is a solution for predicting patient flows in emergency departments using the hospital’s history and exogenous factors (weather-related, epidemic, event-related, etc.) in order to “decongest” emergency departments and enable better resource management.”
The IAPMC team: Elek’IA project (Environment theme), with Aubin Rabouan
“The objective is to reduce energy waste at the scale of a city by reducing public lighting in empty areas. This real-time control also makes it possible to absorb energy peaks, particularly during cold snaps, by modulating light intensity over short periods.”
Intelligence not Artificial: Head Me! project with 4 ICM students Max Lemasquerier, Jordane Goulas, Théophane Tassy, Camille Berthezene
“The challenge is to predict—using artificial intelligence—a therapeutic decision-support tool for neurologists in cases of brain tumours, based on data from different clinical cases.”
Congratulations to the ICM students for their participation and for these podium finishes!
