Highlighting a flagship scientific theme and facilitating exchanges between IMT teacher-researchers, experts, and partners: the “Healthcare 4.0: new advances in health engineering” symposium on October 15 at Mines Saint-Étienne brought together 140 participants for a rich programme.

This event brought together, shared, and disseminated the work carried out by IMT schools across several sessions: data and knowledge in health engineering, medical devices, care pathways, autonomy, hospital systems, and the sociology of health technology usage.

High-value-added projects and applications for the integration of e-health technologies.

The round table “Digital Twins: Challenges and Stakes,” moderated by Lionel Cavicchioli, Health Editor at The Conversation, an independent scientific news media outlet, highlighted the “success stories” of IMT research on the virtual patient—opportunities and challenges for the patient—thanks to testimonials from clinicians and experts from Predisurge, Inria, and Philips France.

“Research at IMT in health engineering and services, identity and strategic axes”: the day was opened by Francis Jutand, Deputy CEO of IMT, Bernadette Dorizzi, Director of Research at Télécom Sud Paris, and Jérémie Pourchez, Director of Research at Mines Saint-Étienne.

Nearly 140 participants, including 80 academics, over twenty companies, 8 startups, and several public bodies and regional partners attended the day.
In this context, many of them were also able to take part in the technical guided tours of the #FutureMedicine platform organized the previous day at the CIS.
