Jacques Fayolle, Director of Mines Saint-Étienne, extended his wishes to all collaborators of the Aix-Marseille-Provence and Saint-Étienne Campuses.
As every year, in January, Jacques Fayolle extended his best wishes for success and good health to all staff members of Mines Saint-Étienne.
In Gardanne, on January 13, then in Saint-Étienne, the following week, he reflected on the highlights of a 2024 that was “busy and intense” before looking ahead to the next twelve months.
Without avoiding the “complicated and uncertain economic context“, he emphasized that our School would continue “to ensure increased efficiency in each of its missions while maintaining its growth objectives, thanks in particular to its own resources.“
With the continuation of work on the TWIN building and the SPOT technological platform, the main outlines of the Campus of the Future unveiled, the ‘team building’ day organized in early July, the launch of the first cohort of the Preparatory and Diploma Cycle in Engineering and Health (PDIS) at the start of the academic year, the ICM and ISMIN graduation ceremonies, and the inauguration of the city stadium on the Aix-Marseille-Provence Campus in the spring, numerous projects and other unifying events will punctuate a 2025 that will be as “exciting and intense” as the previous one.

To conclude the Director’s address on a friendly and gourmet note, a slice of frangipane galette was distributed to all attendees.
The greetings ceremony is traditionally an opportunity to award the Academic Palms to collaborators who have distinguished themselves in our institution. This year’s cohort includes 5 recipients (Knight grade):
Aix-Marseille-Provence Campus:
- Agnès Roussy, Professor at CMP (Manufacturing Sciences and Logistics)

Saint-Étienne Campus:
- Catherine Devin, HR Manager
- Jean-Michel Herri, Professor (SPIN center)
- Vincent Augusto, Director of CIS / Research Director
- Gilles Blanc, laboratory technician, SMS center (retirement)
