Over 1,000 visitors gathered from October 9 to 11 for the National Science Festival at the Aix-Marseille-Provence Campus. A scientific and cultural event that has become a must-attend in Gardanne, the Science Village welcomed students and the general public for three days of experiments, curiosity, and science.
On Thursday and Friday, 700 primary, middle, and high school students discovered the 2025 theme of this event: “Intelligences,” whether human, animal, or artificial.
Around this theme, various educational activities were designed by the student associations Illu’mines, AREM, and MINTEL. The teams from La Rotonde and the Centre of Microelectronics in Provence also offered an Escape Game to delve into the world of bioelectronics and neurosciences. Finally, La main à la pâte, Lycée Fourcade, Collège Pesquier, the Écomusée de Gardanne, and the French Geological Survey also participated in organizing fun workshops to instill a love of science in young people from the region.
On Saturday, 500 visitors, in turn, discovered the CMP. New workshops were offered to them, such as I-NOVMICRO, to explore microelectronics and numerous technological experiments under near-laboratory conditions.
This edition of the Science Festival at the Aix-Marseille-Provence Campus was a great success. Mines Saint-Etienne would like to thank Sandrine Goulvestre, La Rotonde project manager, the student associations who volunteered their time, the teams from La Rotonde and the CMP, as well as all the partners present during these 3 days of openness to science.
