Organized by the student association MiTV, it took place from June 12 to 20, 2023.
Students and staff at Mines Saint-Étienne had the opportunity to explore the world of photography through a friendly photo contest. About ten people participated. They had a few days to take a beautiful photograph and submit it to the jury.
The Art of Portraiture
The theme selected for this first edition was “portrait.” It allowed participants to unleash their imagination and demonstrate how they interpreted an assigned theme.
Subsequently, a jury composed of MiTV members was tasked with evaluating the participants according to three criteria: technique, creativity, and aesthetics. The three best photographers won paper prints of some of their photos.
The association exhibited the works at Espace Cabanes, 158 cours Fauriel, from June 27 to 30.
It should be noted that this contest served as a trial. It may be repeated with other themes in the future.
