For the 8th edition of the Tinnov competition, the French Geological Survey gave IMT students 36 hours to reflect on the various energy challenges of our time, particularly solutions to the issues of subsurface and energy storage in the energy transition.

Eric Serris, researcher and lecturer at the SPIN center, participated in this event as a facilitator for the scientific community and an expert in critical materials. He supported the students in the Green Hydrogen, Water Resources, and Critical Materials challenge. His expertise was invaluable to the group of students from IUT d’Orléans and their Condens’Hy project.

Awarded the 1st prize, Condens’Hy proposes reusing air conditioning condensates to produce green hydrogen. The students’ objective is to produce H2 while minimizing the impact on water resources.
