The collective innovation and collaborative engagement event brought together 450 participants on March 3 and 4 on the Saint-Étienne campus: speakers, coaches, challenge owners, an efficient organizing team, and 400 ICM students who took on 17 challenges related to the theme of food.

The discussions and collaborative work once again this year illustrated the real-world approach intended by the Dynamo Days: a practical pedagogy that focused students on their technical specificities. The students successfully met the 17 challenges related to the theme of food in various aspects: biodiversity, zero waste, ethics, logistics, data, catering, energy, transport, nutrition… projects with societal and environmental impacts.

The teams proposed a great diversity of concrete concepts and relevant deliverables (prototypes, applications, tutorials, and educational tools): methods for analyzing soil health for agricultural use, feasibility of a farm-hostel, implementation of zero-waste packaging logistics, development of a mobile and low-tech kitchen, creation of an educational game imagining a biodiversity score for food, new methods of vegetable preservation for Frères des Hommes, development of by-products for young entrepreneurs of Dawn Project, implementation of a community garden at the primary school, evaluation and reduction of waste in regional canteens, or the development of a self-assessment grid for a network of food sector professionals… (…)

Congratulations to everyone for the solutions provided with creativity, commitment, and enthusiasm!
