From March 13 to 18, Mines Saint-Etienne will participate in Digital Cleanup Day, a week of action to raise awareness of the environmental footprint of digital technology. For this occasion, the School is mobilizing and organizing numerous activities.
The 2023 edition of Digital Cleanup Day takes place on March 18. This digital cleanup aims to raise global awareness of the environmental impact of digital technology through responsible digital awareness actions that are unifying, friendly, and enable taking the first step: on the one hand by cleaning up data and on the other hand by giving our digital equipment a second life.
While many municipalities are taking part, Mines Saint-Etienne is one of the only schools participating in this project. Indeed, it once again demonstrates its commitment to this cause, having signed the responsible digital charter in October 2022. It will apply for Responsible Digital Level 1 certification in 2023.
On the occasion of this World Digital Cleanup Day, Mines Saint-Etienne is organizing various workshops to raise awareness of the environmental footprint of digital technology:
- “Proper use of email at school” workshop
- “Spring cleaning” challenge
- Computer recycling
