The start-up DeNoize, incubated on the Georges Charpak Provence campus, received the Fondation Mines-Télécom special jury prize in the “Smart Building” category at CES 2020 in Las Vegas for its innovative window soundproofing technology.
The prize was presented by Safran, patron of the Fondation Mines-Télécom.

This is excellent news at the start of the year for the school and for its TEAM@Mines Saint-Étienne initiative, present at the largest international trade show dedicated to technological innovation from January 7 to 10 on the IMT stand, with its two finalists for the Bercy-IMT Innovation Prize: DeNoize and U.R.B.S.

DeNoize technology uses the principle of active noise reduction, utilizing the glazing itself to produce counter-noise, with actuators and sensors integrated into the window frame. This technology can reduce up to 90% of transmitted noise in low frequencies.

We extend our congratulations to Olivier Schevin, co-founder & CTO of DeNoize, his team and partners: the start-up relies on the expertise of the Centre of Microelectronics in Provence and the ID-Fab platform for the development of its prototypes.
