Cybermoi/s: Mines Saint-Étienne proposed an original campaign to combat cybercrime
From October 1st to 31, 2024, Mines Saint-Étienne participated in Cybermoi/s by offering awareness activities on cybersecurity issues.
To avoid the traps set by cybercriminals and encourage us to adopt good practices in our daily digital lives, Mines Saint-Étienne offered three events:
October 4, 2024 (via video conference) Mercator: Presentation of our Open Source Web application for managing the mapping of an information system based on the dedicated guide proposed by ANSSI. The solution was presented at STIC 2023 by Didier BARZIN, its creator. Our School quickly adopted this tool as essential for understanding its information system and thus for better risk analysis.
October 15, 2024 (via video conference) IT Department Tuesdays: Cyber-Quiz
October 25, 2024 (via video conference) Mines Saint-Étienne invites you to discover an innovative solution for accessing our sensitive internal resources based on the principle of ZTNA (Zero-Trust Network Access). This solution is developed by the startup Chimère, which is incubated at Mines Saint-Étienne. The project is now supported by Thales. Programme: Zero-Trust Network Access offers a new vision for remote access to corporate networks. Adapted to current and future uses and threats, ZTNA aims to be an alternative to traditional remote access solutions such as VPNs. More info on:https://chimere.eu/fr/ztna.html
Cybersecurity is not necessarily complicated. Simply adopt good practices, be cautious on social networks, clearly separate personal and professional uses, and finally, use the tools made available at Mines Saint-Étienne as much as possible.
