On December 8th, we will welcome Cyril Chambe, Project Manager for Energy and Climate in Territories at SIEL – Loire Energy Territory.
SIEL is a mixed syndicate that acts on behalf of the municipalities and inter-municipalities of the Loire region on issues of energy sobriety and network resilience. This public structure brings together financial, technical, and human resources to support municipalities in the development of renewable energies and the preservation of biodiversity.
The conference will begin with an overview of the energy currently consumed and produced in France, and a reminder of the need to evolve the quantity and type of energy consumed in the coming years. Three themes will then be addressed to successfully achieve the energy transition:
– The production and consumption of renewable energies
– The electrification of uses, with a focus on electric vehicles
– The flexibility of the electrical grid, particularly on the demand side
On the same subject, the Working Group – Ecological Transition of Mines Saint-Étienne offers its staff a discovery workshop on the individual and collective levers for the transition to a low-carbon world.
The 2tonnes Workshop is led by Victor Paillon, Sustainable Development Officer. It is a team-based exercise, free of judgment, that allows participants to simulate France’s energy transition by 2050.
Whether it’s a conference or a workshop, the energy transition relies on awareness. Discussions and mediation have an impact on our individual and collective practices. . Raising awareness is a form of commitment for our School, aiming for a positive societal impact.
To continue:
- The Working Group – Ecological Transition is available to all centers and departments of the School to offer the 2tonnes Workshop.
- Regarding the SIEL – Loire Energy Territory Conference, it will be held on December 8th at 12:30 PM in Amphitheater F2.
