After 41 years of dedicated service to Mines Saint-Étienne, the Deputy Head of the International Office and Language Coordinator will enjoy a well-deserved rest with her family and friends.
“These four decades have passed far too quickly. I have been fortunate to practice a profession I am passionate about with endearing and demanding students. Stopping teaching is undoubtedly the most difficult part…
Teaching has not been my only role. The International Office and the Department of Languages and Cultures have allowed me to flourish and develop other skills over twenty years, alongside supportive colleagues whom I will not soon forget.
I also greatly appreciated being a member of the Academic Committee for 17 years, which allowed me to follow the academic progress of so many students.
Furthermore, I am very, very proud to have represented Mines Saint-Étienne during international missions and actively participated in developing international agreements with our Spanish-speaking partners. Extremely rich and unforgettable experiences.
I thank all those with whom I have been in contact over these years, you who have welcomed me warmly and helped me resolve the issues I brought to you.
I am leaving my position to Emmanuelle Saint-Louis, who will take over on Monday, November 6. I am sure you will give her the warmest welcome.
Best wishes to all of you, take care of yourselves.”
Hasta la vista!
Carmen
