The Brazil France Technology (Brafitec) projects from Mines Saint-Etienne have been accepted by CDEFI. They enable researchers, students, etc. to work with prestigious Brazilian universities. The first project focuses on training environmentally responsible engineers, while the second concerns satellites.

The two projects Brafitec (Brazil France Technology) submitted this year by Mines Saint-Etienne have been accepted by CDEFI. A first project was submitted on behalf of Institut Mines Télécom in the field of responsible engineering with PUC Rio, UNESP, and UFRGS: “Global engineer for a green economy”. It focuses on training high-performing engineers with ecological concerns. A second project was submitted by Raphael Viera, Senior Lecturer at the School’s Microelectronics and Provence center. Satellites are the subject of this latter project, in collaboration with UFSM, UFC, UNB.

These projects will allow our researchers, students… to work with prestigious Brazilian universities that excel in terms of research and innovation, publications… For Mines Saint-Etienne, being selected is a great satisfaction and a recognition of the quality of our training and research […]. Only 50% of projects are selected. Thus, these projects will enable the School to establish a flow with Brazil by hosting Brazilian students and faculty and sending the School’s students and faculty to Brazil. Specifically, the first project automatically provides 9 scholarships per year per project in both directions and helps to feed our incoming flows for the entire IMT with Brazilian students. The funders are CAPES in Brazil and MEAE in France (managed by CDEFI).

Brazil France Technology (Brafitec)

Brafitec are projects between France and Brazil, specifically between a consortium of 3 Brazilian universities and several French institutions. Brafitec projects are teaching and exchange projects for students and staff. Their objectives are:
