Second-year ICM students presented the scientific and technical work they have been conducting in teams since early September. The highly sophisticated final achievements (devices, algorithms, models, software, sensors, etc.) cover numerous fields of application.

This is the first technical project carried out by students, a team effort that implements interdisciplinary knowledge and skills.
These projects also provide students with the opportunity to work within the School’s laboratories and Prototyping area in collaboration with research teams. They were presented to faculty members on December 17.

In 2019, 26 achievements covered various fields of application: a demonstrator for connected objects, electric motors, powder flow properties for 3D printing, magnetic propulsion and levitation, control of a robot for depositing ceramic polymer paste, a plant irrigation system, code for elementary microanalysis software for materials, a graphical interface for calculation codes, a medication reminder alarm, and even a Matlab programme for titanium image calibration…

Educational programme with Lycée Fauriel

As part of a collaboration programme between Mines Saint-Étienne and the preparatory classes of Lycée Claude Fauriel Saint-Étienne, two classes and six teachers were welcomed on December 17 for a presentation of the school and its courses. This was an opportunity for 3rd-year ICM engineering students to present their academic path and the concrete projects they have carried out during their studies, particularly the Tech Projects, to the 80 preparatory students in attendance.
