On Saturday, March 15, the Saint-Étienne Congress Center hosted the graduation ceremony for Ingénieurs Civils des Mines and PhDs. An event marked by pride, emotion, and inspiration, in the presence of 677 participants, including families, relatives, faculty, staff, and partners.
This 2025 edition celebrated the success of:
- 151 graduates from the Ingénieur Civil des Mines (ICM) program
- 19 new PhDs, from Mines Saint-Étienne research centers
A prestigious patron for a connected generation
We had the honor of welcoming Fabienne Arata-Camps, General Manager of LinkedIn France, as the patron of the graduating class. Invited to accompany this class as a leader committed to digital transformation and changes in the world of work, she experienced this event with a dual sense of pride: professional, of course, but also personal, as the mother of a 2024 graduate.
With authenticity and emotion, she saluted a generation “deeply committed and supportive,” bringing hope and energy for the future. In her speech, she also encouraged the graduates to “dare, innovate, and build a future commensurate with their ambitions,” while calling on them to keep the alumni community alive and proudly uphold the School’s values worldwide.
🌍 A generation committed and focused on tomorrow’s challenges
This ceremony was an opportunity to salute a generation of engineers and researchers trained in scientific excellence, the complexity of industrial challenges, and also social and environmental responsibility. Their journey at Mines Saint-Étienne has prepared them to actively contribute to major technological, energy, digital, and societal transitions.
🎉 A convivial and solemn celebration
Between diploma presentations, student testimonials, institutional speeches, and festive moments, the ceremony successfully combined solemnity and human warmth. The traditional Student Gala brilliantly took over from the ceremony, once again revealing the talent, creativity, and energy of our students. This moment was also marked by the highly anticipated staff review, where a dozen staff members performed a humorous sketch on the theme of artificial intelligence, blending self-deprecating humor with a nod to current technological events.
Congratulations to everyone on this magnificent journey. We are delighted to see you join our alumni network and uphold the values of our school in France and internationally.
