The Perspectives Forum, an event jointly organized by students from École Centrale Lyon and Mines Saint-Étienne, was successfully held on November 13 in Lyon. Each year this event continues to grow: this edition welcomed 120 companies and 2,000 engineering students.

Round tables, conferences, workshops, interviews, student advising—this year’s annual forum once again saw strong attendance at the Lyon Convention Center, with a representative panel from all industrial sectors to meet the expectations of students seeking internships or their first job.
All three cohorts of the ICM program were present thanks to shuttle services organized from Saint-Étienne.

The joint Mines Saint-Étienne (professionalization division) and ICM alumni booth provided information to companies about our programs and assisted engineering students with CV review.

The tour of booths by the Education Management team promoted educational activities such as “fil rouge” projects and “dynamo days” creativity seminars.
The connection with recent graduates who were recently hired and present at the booths is also an annual opportunity to listen to companies’ expectations and improve our programs.

The conferences and round tables were highly successful, exemplified by the presentation of the 2019 Perspectives Forum sponsor, Claire Morand, ICM E99, who spoke notably about the role of engineers at the heart of the ecological transition.
