Held on October 4, 5, and 6, the two events attracted hundreds of middle school students, high school students, university students, and other curious visitors. An impressive turnout that the organizers, mobilized staff, and associations can celebrate.

The Science Festival took place from October 3 to 5 on the Aix-Marseille-Provence Campus. It was co-organized with the Gardanne media library.

The theme of this 2024 edition was: “Oceans of Knowledge. “

The science village thus explored the use of water through scientific and technical perspectives. The event featured scientific activities, meetings, workshops, and interactive pathways for the general public (on October 5) and for school groups (on October 3 and 4).

Nearly 40 classes came to the site to learn while having fun.

The workshops were led by the student associations Illu’mines, AREM, and Solidar’ISMIN, as well as by the Gardanne Ecomuseum, the Paréidolie visual arts school, and the Industry of the Future Center of Excellence I-NOVMICRO.

The public was also able to discover, during the open house, the research conducted at the Centre of Microelectronics in Provence through presentations and demonstrations by faculty researchers and doctoral students.

800 This is the number of elementary, middle school, and high school students who participated in the Science Festival on the Aix-Marseille-Provence Campus.

A giant mural even came to illustrate the highlights of this event.

It was created live by the comic artists from “Croc en Jambe.”
