For this first “test” edition, the voluntary participation in the Climate Fresk—organized at the initiative of young ICM alumni—saw a great turnout: 9 groups, including over 80 engineering students from all 3 class years and school staff, took part seriously in this fun and creative workshop! It was a dynamic, stimulating, and inspiring experience.

The Saint-Étienne Campus participated in the 2019 “Climate Back-to-School” event for higher education on the afternoon of Thursday, September 19.
The introduction to climate dynamics and the consequences of climate change is at the heart of this workshop on climate change based on collective intelligence. The objective is to better understand the mechanisms at work and the cause-and-effect links leading to the crises that will be increasingly experienced.

This first simulation-based edition, designed to help understand climate and ecological issues, fulfilled its unifying role and brought together nearly 85 students and staff in Saint-Étienne. The teams actively and effectively rose to the challenges of this workshop.

“The Climate Fresk at Mines Saint-Étienne” was carried out at the initiative of students and ICM alumni: Inès Bakthaoui, Josué Bulot, Loïc Cellier, Marta Martinez Reyes, Sébastien Montalvo, Léna Trutt,
and the school’s delegation for Sustainable Development and Social and Environmental Responsibility (contact: Natacha Gondran).

The initiative initially took place in Saint-Étienne as a test edition on a voluntary basis; the exercise will be offered to ISMIN students and staff in Gardanne during the school year.
Mines Saint-Étienne is now one of the “mobilized partner institutions.”

Sincere thanks are extended to the organizers and participants of the event!
