Mines Saint-Étienne has just signed an agreement in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the prestigious University of Science and Technology (UST). It concerns student exchanges (internships and incoming mobility) and scientific collaborations in numerous cutting-edge fields.
UST, University of Science and Technology brings together 24 national public research centers and institutes across various sites throughout the country (Seoul, Suwon, Changwon, Ansan, Seongnam, and Daejeon). It covers major scientific themes and involves numerous researchers from these different centers in teaching.
Our collaborations will build on the areas of excellence of this renowned university, such as aerospace, environment, nanotechnology, biotechnology, as well as geosciences and computer science.
This agreement is of particular interest to our engineering students for internships and will enable us to welcome Korean students into our programmes. A joint PhD supervision project is also under consideration.
This new partnership complements our collaborations with South Korea and the exchange agreements already in place with SNU, KIST, and POSTECH.
