Two recent missions carried out in Estonia and Russia made it possible to explore collaboration opportunities, present Mines Saint-Étienne’s training programs, and add a new Erasmus agreement to the academic mobility offerings available to our engineering students.
Successful exploratory initiative in Estonia
The mission carried out at the Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) aimed to establish new contacts with a view to an academic partnership with this highly innovative university, particularly in the field of digital technologies and engineering.
The recent signing of the Erasmus agreement with TalTech following this mission completes the mobility offerings available to students. This agreement concerns the “Industrial engineering” field.
The visit to the Mektory innovation center provided an opportunity to discover a cutting-edge and original space and to explore collaboration opportunities.
Both an innovation/incubator center and a scientific culture hub, it brings together researchers, students, and entrepreneurs who offer resources to create and develop their innovative projects in various fields.
Mission in Russia
A partner of the School, the National University of Science and Technology NUST MISIS in Moscow is one of Russia’s leading technological universities.
The mission allowed for a detailed presentation of our training programs, particularly the Master of Science in Engineering courses taught in English. A double-degree agreement for students coming for a Master of Science in Engineering has indeed been formalized. The fields primarily concern materials science.
Florence Granger, Head of International Relations, and Joël Monnatte, representing the Ceramics team from the SMS center, also met with several professors working in the field of ceramics and microwave techniques, and an industrialist, Mr. Volkov, Deputy CEO INESYS LLC, with a view to establishing a comprehensive academic partnership.
