Inès Bakthaoui, a 3rd-year ICM student currently pursuing a double degree at Imperial College London, is the co-author of an article related to environmental assessment and climate change, published in the prestigious journal “Energy Policy.”
We extend our congratulations to her for this brilliant contribution and for her academic and scientific achievements.

The article published by the journal Energy PolicyHow much wind power potential does Europe have? Examining European wind power potential with an enhanced socio-technical atlas ” introduces in particular a new method for socio-technical estimation of wind energy potential and provides an overview of each European country.

Inès Bakthaoui completed an Erasmus mobility in the Netherlands during her second year of the ICM program to study renewable energies. She had previously selected courses at the School related to environmental assessment, risk management, and international management.
She then completed a three-month internship in wind engineering at Envision Energy in Denmark, under the supervision of Éric Piatzyzek, Institut Fayol, during which she contributed to this article.

“What I appreciate most about the ICM program is the freedom given to students to create their own personalized path.”

In her third year, Inès chose to pursue a dual degree at Imperial College London, a partner institution of Mines Saint-Étienne, to follow a Master of Science in Engineering in Climate Change Management and Finance. Currently completing her final internship at the UN in Germany, she is working on topics related to climate change adaptation.

Inès Bakthaoui will graduate in September and will receive her double degree during the February 2020 ceremony.
