The event took place on June 1st at the Campus Région du Numérique in Charbonnières-les-Bains.
The Rhône-Alpes site hosts not only the DIWII platform, which deploys a nearly 800 m² technological platform representing workshops of the industry of the future, with its industrial processes and support functions. It hosted, for a day rich in exchanges, a scientific event on the theme: hydrogen and materials challenges.
Organized by the Metals Study Circle, it brought together 90 people, more than half of whom work in industry. Many researchers from Mines Saint-Étienne were present on this occasion.
Among them, Frédéric Christien, member of the Saint-Étienne Teaching and Research Center dedicated to Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering (SMS), provided the framework for this day, which was appreciated by all participants.
