Mines Saint-Étienne participated in the 7th edition of this challenge, proposed by La Fabrique de l’Innovation as part of the University of Lyon’s in-situ week. It brought together over 130 students in Saint-Étienne from November 28 to 30 at UdL’s Pré-Fabrique de l’Innovation.
The “48h pour faire vivre des idées®” challenge gathered exactly 133 participants in Saint-Étienne: numerous students enrolled in Master of Science in Engineering programs from Jean Monnet University, ENISE, the Master of Science in Engineering Prospective Design (ESADSE/Mines Saint-Étienne/UJM), students from IUT de Roanne, Lycée Jean Monnet, DNMADe (Diplôme National des Métiers d’Art et du Design Lycée Honoré d’Urfé), and the ICM Mines Saint-Étienne curriculum.
The students shared their knowledge and expertise by working in multidisciplinary teams on concrete problems provided by companies: the topics addressed in Saint-Étienne were proposed by SIGVARIS, La Cité du Design, Vicat, Orange, SII Drones, and Coven, covering various themes such as social commitment, creation of a cultural venue, proposal of pre-fabricated concrete for future housing, or disruptive use of drones.
This national and international challenge took place across 13 sites, including 5 abroad (14 topics in total were offered in France and internationally, 6 in Saint-Étienne). It was coordinated in Lyon partly by the Pré-Fabrique de l’Innovation of the University of Lyon, and in Saint-Étienne in partnership with Saint-Étienne Métropole and La Fabuleuse Cantine.
